I have a few staples I ALWAYS keep in my fridge, and cupboards so I thought I would share:
1. Hummus - I like Tribe (tribehummus.com) Lemon and Rst Red Pepper are my Favorite
2. Bkd Wheat Crackers - Natures Promise by Stop n Shop are AWESOME (espec. w/hummus)
3. Cabot - 75% Fat Free Cheddar Cheese - very thin slices (use sparingly)
4. Cliff Bars - I Love these, only one a day, try to break off little pieces, eat throughout the day.
5. Protein Powder - I like all natural, with 0-nill fat, and carbs, I use Genisoy, Soy Protein. (Add Fruit)
6. Josephs Pita Bread -Flax Bran & Whole Wheat. This pack a good punch & only 60 cal!
7. Fresh Spinach - So Delish! Have as a salad with your choice of Protein, or stuff a pita.
8. Fat Free Balsamic Dressing - I actually found a really good one at the $ store, (watch the carbs/sugar)
9. Cucumbers, Tomatos, Black Olives, and peppers - I roast my own peppers in the toaster oven.
10. Lean Protein - Chicken Breasts, 99% FF ground turkey, fish, veggie burgers, soy hot dogs!!!
11. Broccoli, Baby Carrots, Green Beans, Squash, Zuchinni, stock up on fresh veggies - Stir frys Rule!
12. Couscous - I like Near East, all different flavors, mix in your protein, and veggies. Tasty!
13. Fat Free Cottage Cheese - put on salad, top crackers, so many uses (watch the sodium)
14. Eggs - Love my hard boiled eggs, eat as many whites as you want, only one yolk per serving
15. Beans - I also love beans, black beans are my favorite, you can mix beans with everything.
16.Water and Gatorade G2.
Just a little sampling of what is Always in my Kitchen. More to come, and lots of recipes.. I love to cook, I love to eat, and everything I make is Delish and Healthy. Its really not hard, and once you get the hang of it, you will be amazed that a nutrition plan this delicious could be keeping you so healthy and lean! :)
